Our division endeavors to provide high-quality education and teaching in order to convey the latest knowledge and fill future generations of physicians and nursing professionals with enthusiasm for the field of pediatric hematology and oncology.
The specialty area pediatric hematology/oncology is included in module XX (Medizin des Kindes- und Jugendalters/Medicine of Childhood and Adolescence) of the Medicine diploma program. Our division is responsible for coordinating modules and exams (Daniela Sperl).
One staff member of our division is responsible for overseeing one module on a rotating basis. Exercises are designed so that students receive practical demonstrations of the most important diseases in this specialty area with an emphasis on learning how to independently produce a patient status report.
The wide range of professional development opportunities at the Medical University of Graz is directed at a variety of occupational groups in the fields of medicine, science and research, nursing and health services. Most of the professional development courses can be completed while the participant is regularly employed and provide him/her with a valuable additional qualification.
